Networking - Seriously...What does that REALLY mean?

So.....its seems that "NETWORKING" is the new especially overused term of 2009. Although I have come to realize the actual act of networking is essential to your professional and personal success, I have a tendency to lump this word in the same category as "upscale". Remember that one? Anytime an event promoter wanted to stress that their event was set apart from the others, the term "upscale" was thrown in their marketing material somewhere. When you arrive to the event, you immediately take notice that "upscale" only referred to a small roped off VIP section, "signature" apple martinis in baby martini glasses and a "lavish" buffet (which can also be placed in that same category). Well....I don't want V.Allure to be lumped into that dreadful category, so I've brainstormed about some other terms we can use to get our point across when it comes to networking. Perhaps intelligent interfacing, connecting conversations? How about successful socializing? As you see, I definitely like alliteration!

What are your thoughts? Hit us back with your suggestions and/or your feedback on the terms above.

Anywho.....check out some shots from V.Allure's very first networking event! (we'll call it that for now) Thanks to everyone that came out to Vino With V.ALLURE!

CHEERS!
